Pader to get hospital

NEBBI district will get a fully-stocked hospital, the minister of State for Health (General Duties), Capt. Mike Mukula has said.
Mukula was at celebrations to mark the carving of Pader district from Kitgum district, at the district headquarters on Tuesday.
“The Government will build one big hospital in Pader district and an ambulance will be provided to the district,” Mukula said.
He said all the health centre IVs in the district would be supplied with free anti-retroviral (ARV) drugs to cater for HIV/AIDS clients.
Mukula, who also handed over 4,000 mosquito nets to women and children, said the government would order for 4.1 million mosquito nets next financial year to be supplied to the people in northern Uganda.
He said the health sector had made a big achievements in the fight against guinea worm, polio and measles, and the war was now against malaria.
