UGANDA’s trio of young sailors at the EuroMed Malta Championships held on December 15-21 finished commendably on their European debut.

Lars Fjord Garvey finished 39th with 302 points from eight races while his elder sister Laerke finished in 50th with 382 points in the same number of races.

Uganda’s other entrant Rosanna Betts came 68th.

Uganda was the only African country that took part in the event that attracts the best junior sailors in Europe.
