With the year coming to an end, the only thing on many people’s lips is finding a good spot where they can see off 2004 and embrace the glamour and hope of 2005.

This will not be an easy feat because literally every spot in town is enduring a massive attempt to advocate for their outlet as one to accentuate a vibe of tranquil in a bid to hook customers to their side.

The other attribute that people are looking out for at the New Year, is fireworks because they serve as a commemoration of how far you have come and what still awaits you. Blue Mango in Bukoto would be ideal to a number of people.

Set in the typically African setting with wood, it brings about a homely attribute. Besides being a favourite location for colleagues and family to unwind of the week’s events, it is comforting and inviting. For the sporting (football, basketball, rugby, cricket) and movie lovers, they have giant screens in different corners that will guarantee quality viewing.

Serene Club found on Hannington Road behind Crested Towers is also a good spot where fun and relaxation can be attained. Situated in the calm street-side, the club has no traffic or pedestrian congestion and has the space to securely park atleast 50 cars.
“Since this is a period of sharing and exchanging with friends and family, Serene Club will be offering their soothing sauna, steam bath and massage services to enable healthy bodies merge into the New Year in vibrancy. For the culinary delightful, delicacies like mulokoni, pan-fried or roasted chicken, goat and pork will be offered besides the menu dishes,” said Solomon Karamagi, the proprietor.

The grass-thatched establishment is easy to relax under because of the open-air surroundings. For the families, their menu will be continental and will be strategic enough to sit families of 10 people.

Because it appeals to a more reserved crowd, there is always soft music playing in the background for easy listening. And for the children, the club grounds are easy to play on.

Bamboo Nest in Bugoloobi spills off as a pub around the neighbourhood to many but in fact, the amenities that come with the place speak much more. With sporting specialties like pool and dart games, the environment is peaceful enough for this season.
Although the pub section is what it is known for, Bamboo Nest also brags about some of the tastiest pork ribs in town.

The African specials can also be consumed at any time of the day. During ushering in of the New Year, its location makes it ideal for hangout, especially for those residing in Luzira, Kitintale, Naguru and
Nakawa.
