A family music affair
St Paul’s Family choir, is set to rekindle the Christmas mood with a thrilling Christmas carol service this Sunday at St Matia Mulumba catholic parish hall, starting 4:00pm. The service dubbed The Heavens Declare the Glory of God will, according to the organisers, be a true declaration not only of God’s glory, but also of upcoming talent in the Christian choral genre.

Ndeeba carols on
The festive season is still on. And more is yet to come. This time round, It is The Lord’s servants choir promising to spice our New Year with a sumptuous package of beautiful Christmas carols. The choir, based at Ndeeba Catholic Church will present a Christmas carol concert this Sunday, January 2, 2005 starting 3:00pm at the church. The choir will present a rich collection of Christmas songs including classical works from the famed Handle’s Messiah, gospel and traditional pieces.

Youth for S. Africa
ONLY a few months after unveiling their anti-HIV/AIDS play, members of Kampala’s Christ the King Parish Youth drama team are set for bigger things. Dr Josiah Kizito, an international AIDS researcher based in South Africa has promised to take the group to South Africa to stage the play Sweet Enemy. “I have seen several plays by famous groups like Bakayimbira. But Sweet Enemy is unique because young people, who are more practical, stage it. When I go back, I shall make it possible for the group to stage the play in South Africa,” he said.

Miracle Centre fete
Rubaga Miracle Centre will hold a two-year bull roasting on the night of December 31 into January 1, 2005. The newly dedicated cathedral is set to hold a crowd of about 30,000 people. The overnight prayers start at 7:30pm and will go on till dawn. Pastor Robert Kayanja will lead in the worship. Entrance is free.

Gospel album launch
AMBASSADORS of Christ, a celebrated Rwandese Adventist choir is in Kampala to launch its album Bbaluwa.The function is to take place at Adventist Centre Makerere (opposite LDC) this Sunday starting at 12:00pm. The show will feature choirs like Golden Gate, Gospelaires, Living Voice, William Lukwago and MC Daniel Wasswa. Entry fee is sh4,000 for adults and sh1,500 children.

Radio Maria festival
Catholic Church choirs are to perform at the Radio Maria Music Festivals at Didi's World Amusement Park’s Upper Theatre this Sunday. The show will feature reputable choirs/gospel groups and solo artistes like Fr Anthony Musaala, the Anawim, Lubaga Worship team, St Cecilia Lubaga Cathedral, and M-Lisada brass ensemble.
