By Fred KaweesiEfforts are underway to have the Nile Special Super League kick off as early as Mid January.National Football League Committee (NFLC) vice chairman Livingstone Lajan said the early kick-off would help clubs competing on the continent to get some competitive action before they face foreign clubs.“We met with the Federation’s technical Committee and resolved to have an early league kick off that will provide adequate preparations for the three clubs,” Lajan said.SC Villa, Express and KCC will be taking part in the Champions League, Cup Winners Cup and CAF Cup respectively.“Ill motivation has seen most of our teams bundled out at very tender stages, something we thought of solving by holding competitive league fixtures ahead of their outings.”The NFLC boss added: “What every body should know is that the fixtures will be out in a fortnight’s time.” SC Villa join the fray as early as February 17 when they open their East and Central Club campaign against Zanzibar’s Mlandenge.A month later they take on Sudan’s El- Hilal in the opening stages of the CAF Championship.KCC and Express join the Continental pan against Ethiopia’s Saint George and Egypt’s EL-Mehalla respectively.
