Kenya Football Federation(KFF)has reverted to the zonal premier league with the kick-off scheduled for February 9.

By Reuben Olita in NairobiKenya Football Federation(KFF)has reverted to the zonal premier league with the kick-off scheduled for February 9.The 22-team league will be divided into two zones with each zone comprising 11 teams. KFF acting secretary-general Hussein Swaleh said the league is programmed to end in July with two top teams in each zone battling it out in a mini-league to decide the national champions.Three teams from each zone will be relegated.The teams, including those that will participate in the mini-league will form a 16-team straight league to run from August to May 2003 where the winner and runner up will be entered for the 2004 continental club championships.Zone A will comprise defending champions Oserian Fastac, Tusker, AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia, Mombasa Heroes, KCB, Sony, Chemelil, Coast Stars, Medisca and Pan Paper.Zone B will feature Mumias Sugar, Nzoia, Ulinzi, Red Berets, Mathare United, Utalii, Kisima, Shabana, Brooke Bond, Kenya Pipe Line and Re-Union.
