The Vice-President, Dr Spesioza Wandera Kazibwe, has appealed to black Americans in the United States of America to come back to Africa andparticipate in its development, reports Robert Kanusu. She made the appeal last week in a meeting with a black American missionary couple, brother George Smith and his wife Geraldine. The missionaries working with the Buvuma Island Ministries, visited Kazibwe at her office to brief her about their community development activities on the island located in Mukono district.“I am impressed that you have started coming back to your roots. Tell all the brothers and sisters who are still in America that Africa is now stable so they should return home,” Kazibwe said. She hailed them for being courageous by going to areas which the government had had problems with in terms of development.Kazibwe promised to work with them through an integral approach to ensure quick service delivery.“The Islands was not neglected and the situation is at least far better than it used to be. we shall contribute every thing possible to make your life easy like constructing better infrastructure,” Kazibwe said. She also said she was happy that church organisations and non-government organisations were helping the government to do its work through community development activities in addition to spreading the gospel.Ends
