GULU — A total of 620 units of blood were donated during the open air donation in Gulu organised by Uganda Red Cross and Gulu regional blood bank.The director of Gulu regional blood bank, Dr. Sam Uringtho, said 18 certificates were also awarded to the donors who had donated blood 20 times and above on different blood day donation. “Blood is very useful in hospitals. There are mothers who lose blood during childbirth, while some patients lose blood during operations,” said Dr. Uringtho.ends
