By James Bakama and Phillip CorryPAUL Hasule would certainly pass a blood pressure test before today’s Nile Special Super league opener.Reason: He will be leading Police to battle against KCC minus the tension typical of such battles. The ex-international, who recently lost his job with giants SC Villa, yesterday confessed that it is four years since he last felt so relaxed.“I am under no pressure,” revealed a composed Hasule adding that his new club’s status as underdog was more reason for the calmness. It was however a different story at Lugogo where anxiety amongst the yellows was palpable. No wonder coach David Otti constantly referred to the unpredictability of teams like Police. The team’s massive transfer losses have not helped matters.A look at KCC’s arsenal however shows that Otti’s fears could be unfounded.KCC’s defence marshaled by Meddie Nsubuga is still a hard nut to crack. The midfield, which revolves around Godfrey Kabeta and Noah “Babadi” Kasule is also the envy of other teams. But it will take a lot of creativity for Otti to make up for Said Abedi’s departure from the yellows’ attack. It was Abed who salvaged KCC from a draw with Police in last year’s first round. Police showed even more fighting spirit in the second round fighting from two goals down to level the score.Hasule believes Police can still be a thorn. On today’s game plan he said he would employ the same strategy that he used to flatten all local opposition at his former base.“I have never coached a team to play defensively. So, watch out for my counter attacking 4-4-2 preference.” ends
