Assumpta Nantume of Nakasero P7 school, Africa’s sole representative at the annual World Press Photo, will today start judgement of the press photos submitted by photographers all over the world, reports Jimmy Adriko in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Assumpta Nantume of Nakasero P7 school, Africa’s sole representative at the annual World Press Photo, will today start judgement of the press photos submitted by photographers all over the world, reports Jimmy Adriko in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.Nantume emerged Uganda’s and Africa’s representative through a selection process that was organised by The New Vision in October last year.She arrived here on Friday and will be on a panel of nine other children from Asia, Europe, South and North American. They will select the best picture in sports, news, nature and daily life in a three-round judgement. In the third round, the children will then select the best picture out of the four they pick in the categories above in an exercise that takes two days. The children will announce their choice on Wednesday.Ends
