Vision Awards Jumbo Winners

The New Vision has awarded prizes to six lucky winners of its 2001 Jumbo Christmas Quiz and Puzzle, reports Lillian Nalumansi.Rose Kawere, a researcher with Lyantonde Participatory Action Research, took the first prize of sh100,000, Patrick Nelson Wagaba sh75,000 and Amos Baryashaba took the first prize of sh40,000 for the Christmas Jumbo Quiz.“I have been filling in puzzles since my P5 and the inspiration was from my father. Last year’s jumbo puzzle was easier than that of 2000,” Kawere said.“I found it easy to fill because being a daily reader of The New Vision, the answers were at my finger tips,” Kawere said.She was at The New Vision offices on Third Street Industrial Area where the winners collected their prizes. They received their prizes from The New Vision’s Features Editor Barbara Kaija flanked by her deputy Catherine Mwesigwa, the Photo Editor, Ben Ochan and Supplements Editor Robinah Basalirwa.Ends
