Former ISO Boss Missing

By Grace Matsikoand Florence NakaayiTHE former head of personnel and administration at the Internal Security Organisation (ISO) headquarters, Lt Muhire Mugire has gone missing.sources in ISO yesterday said Muhire went missing with his family two weeks ago. He has reportedly been undeployed since the recent reshuffles in ISO. but he remained with his official car and driver.The reshuffle was part of the restructuring of ISO implemented by the ISO Director General, Brig. Henry Tumukunde.The directive was from President Yoweri Museveni.“Muhire left his house in Kyambogo without informing his driver. When the driver went to collect his children for school, he was told they left for Naalya. The driver went to school but the children were not there,” a source in ISO said.The source added, “he has been bitter since the reshuffle. We suspect he crossed (to a neighbouring country.”Muhire’s driver only identified as Ochan has recorded a statement with ISO about the disappearance of his boss. sources said Muhire was a supporter of former presidential candidate, Col Dr. Kizza Besigye.Tumukunde and his deputy, Lt Col Elly Kayanja, were not available for comment.Ends
