FORMER internal affairs state minister Col. William Omaria has denied that he owes the Government sh150m meant for the purchase of former Uganda Meat packers in Soroti.

William Omaria has denied that he owes the Government sh150m meant for the purchase of former Uganda Meat packers in Soroti.The Auditor General’s report to Parliament indicated that Omaria failed to pay sh150m out of the sh300m.But Omaria said Uganda Meat Packers was bought by Teso Agro Industry company (TAICO) where he is one of the directors.“It’s not true that I Omaria bought the company. But the fact remains that TAICO paid all the money for the meat packers,” he said.
