THE Inspector General of Government, Jotham Tumwesigye, has pledged to increasingly engage in exchange programmes with the inspectorate’s Egyptian counterpart the “Egyptian Administrative Control Authority” (ACA) for better services, reports Martin Kiiza.Tumwesigye made the remarks during a dinner he hosted for the visiting head of Regional Office ACA Egypt, Magdy Abdul Samak, at Hotel Africana recently. He said the programmes were crucial because they promoted sharing experiences and learning from one another. “Exchanging visits between the Inspectorate of Government and ACA Egypt started in 1997 and it has been very cordial,” Tumwesigye said.“We are impressed by the way Egypt arrests corrupt people. There is a lot of good work in combating corruption there,” he said. The Egyptian Ambassador, Maasokm Marzouk, said the visits symbolised deep cooperation between the two countries.“There is a lot to learn from each other,” he said.
