By Douglas Mazune UGANDA Ladies Golf Union (ULGU) has selected Monica Ntege, Alice Owori and Margaret Turya to represent Uganda at the 2002 All Africa Ladies Challenge in Ivory Coast next month.ULGU on Tuesday night selected the team basing on each player’s record over a period of one year and trials that have been going on for the last three months at Uganda Golf Club. The ULGU meeting did not name a fourth person on the team after Eva Okatch, who had emerged fourth, opted out due personal commitments.Cecilia Lwanga, Rose Musoke and Lydia Eriksen were all tied in fifth position making it hard for ULGU to immediately choose one of them. The fourth person will be chosen later.“It was not easy choosing a team, it was so tight. You know when you are using people’s money you have to take the best team,” a source told The New Vision. The ladies union raised sh6m at the weekend during a fundraising tournament at Kitante. Another fundraising tournament is scheduled for April 6 at the same venue.ends
