GOLF sensation Norah Mbabazi is already in West Africa waiting to join Uganda’s team to the All Africa Ladies Challenge in Ivory Coast next month.

By Douglas Mazune GOLF sensation Norah Mbabazi is already in West Africa waiting to join Uganda’s team to the All Africa Ladies Challenge in Ivory Coast next month.Mbabazi, who lives in Mali, early this week telephoned Uganda Ladies Golf Union (ULGU) president, Monica Ntege, asking to be included on the team.Ntege said that the star golfer, who dominated the sport in the late 1990s, would be given chance to prove herself.“She is such a good player and willing to play. We will have three days before the event, so we shall have trials within ourselves. If she is still on form, definitely one of us will drop out,” Ntege said. “But we will not take chances, all the four of us will travel.”Ntege, Alice Owori, Margaret Turya and a reserve player, yet to be picked, will travel to the West African country.The tournament that is Africa’s biggest women amateur golf competition is expected to attract over 15 countries.ends
