SIR— Few patients thank the doctors, nurses and other support staff for whatever they do for them to save their lives. I wish to express our gratitude to Josephine Maseruka of Nangabo, Wakiso district, for her letter, “Good doctors!”, in The New Vision of Monday, March 25, pg. 13.Often, because of pain and suffering, an indisposed person will be impatient until his/her condition is ameliorated. She will expect the health provider to act professionally like an angel on earth short of which names and blame, will be the gift for the provider.Josephine also noticed that injections, syringes, medical forms, etc, were lacking at the hospital. However, since the patient, the doctor and the policy maker are stake-holders in health care, let us not apportion blame.Dr Myers LugemwaGeneral Secretary Uganda Medical Association
