Kasese Churches Condemn Conflict

THE Anglican Church of Uganda and the Roman Catholic Church Diocesan bishops in Kasese district have condemned armed conflict and divisionism. They called for forgiveness and reconciliation.

They called for forgiveness and reconciliation.In his Easter sermon at St. Paul’s Cathedral, the bishop of the South Rwenzori Diocese, Zebedee Masereka, said, “I appeal to the political leaders in this district to emulate Jesus Christ by preaching forgiveness, reconciliation and love for enemies.”Meanwhile, the head of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kasese Rt. Rev. Egidio Nkaijanabwo, preaching at the Diocesan Cathedral, said, “Selfishness and lack of love for one another are causes of conflict.”Ends
