NIGERIAN President Olusegun Obasanjo will arrive in Uganda tomorrow to attend celebrations to mark the April 11 fall of Idi Amin and the Julius Nyerere memoriam.

By Anne Mugisa and Jude EtyangNIGERIAN President Olusegun Obasanjo will arrive in Uganda tomorrow to attend celebrations to mark the April 11 fall of Idi Amin and the Julius Nyerere memoriam.Obasanjo was invited by President Yoweri Museveni who opened the three-day Mwalimu Nyerere Great Lakes regional dialogue on Monday at the Kampala International Conference Centre.Presidents Benjamin Mkapa of Tanzania, Daniel Arap Moi of Kenya and Burundi’s Pierre Buyoya will be here today to attend the regional symposium.Buyoya arrived yesterday evening while Mkapa and Moi jet in today.A press statement from the President’s Office yesterday said the heads of State will today interface with other delegates during a special brainstorming session.The symposium organised by the Mwalimu Nyerere Foundation is on the theme; “Reinforcing the region’s solidarity by setting a regional agenda for a culture of peace, unity and people-centred development.”The symposium is aimed at charting out a collective vision of how to solve the problems of the region.
