Box 7452, Kampala to be received not later than 3rd May 2002.The forms can be obtained from the Health Service Commission offices.Applications should be accompanied by a detailed C.V. and bear the title of the post as well as the reference number of the vacancy. POST: COMMISSIONER BOARDS & EXAMINATIONS (1 POST)SALARY SCALE U1 (FIXED)HRM 67/84/06QUALIFICATIONS - An Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, Social Sciences, Bachelor of Commerce (Management option), or BA(SWSA) with Personnel Management as an option from a recognised University.- Post-graduate training in Human Resource Management.- A Masters degree in Human Resource Management, or Development Studies will be an added advantage.EXPERIENCEWorking experience in Human Resource Management of at least 10 years two of which should have been at Assistant Commissioner level is essential.OTHER REQUIREMENTS- Good communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to develop and coach subordinates.- Interviewing, Human Resource Management and Planning Skills.- Organanizational Skills.- Impeccable character and personality.- High level of creativity.- Should be able to work without close supervision.- Ability to work with computers.2. POST: SENIOR STATISTICIAN (1 POST)HRM 67/84/06SALARY SCALE U3QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE- Candidates should be qualified with first degree in Statistics (B.Stat.) or Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Economics.- Post graduate qualifications in Computer Science, Statistics are desirable. EXPERIENCE - Must have three years satisfactory experience in the service of a reputable organisation as a Statistician.- Should be able to show ability, initiative and competence in organizing and co-ordinating work at a Senior level;- Experience in Information Systems Administration will be an added advantage.7. POST: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (1) POSTHRM 67/84/06SALARY SCALE U3QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE- Candidates should have a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree or an internationally recognized professional accounting qualification;- Post-graduate training in Financial ManagementEXPERIENCE- Should have been at the level of Accountant for at least three years in a reputable organization.- Have demonstrated ability, competence and extensive knowledge in Financial Management techniques and Uganda Government accounting regulations.8. POST: RECORDS ASSISTANT GRADE I (1) POST HRM 67/84/06 SALARY SCALE U6QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE O’ Level Certificate of Education with:-- 6 pass subjects including English Language, one of which should be at credit level or- 5 passes including English Language, two of which must be at credit level or- 4 credit passes including English Language- A’ Level Certificate of Education with one principal pass or any other qualification that may be adjudged to be equivalent to (i) (ii) or (iii) above.- Certificate in Records Management.- Serving officers should be confirmed in appointment.- Have served at Records Assistant level for at least 3 years.- Have demonstrated ability and competence in work organisation and supervision.13. POST: RECEPTIONIST (2) POSTS HRM 67/84/06 SALARY SCALE U8 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE- O’ Level Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least a pass in English Language;- Switchboard experience of not less than 3 years and typing skills is an added advantage.14. POST: DRIVER (3) POSTS HRM 67/84/06 SALARY SCALE USS3QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE- O’ level Certificate of Education (UCE) with a pass in English Language plus a valid driving permit.- Should be reliable, with at least 5 years experience as a driver and have a clean driving record.- Should be able to ensure that vehicles are kept clean.- Knowledge of mechanics will be an added advantage.15. POST: OFFICE ATTENDANT (3) POSTS HRM 67/84/06 SALARY SCALE USS 3QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE- O’ Level Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least a pass in English language;- The applicant should be presentable, reliable, able to work for long hours and to keep time.- At least 3 years working experience will be an added advantage.N.B.
