By Allan TuryagumaFORMER Mbarara municipality parliamentary candidate Ngoma Ngime has served the High Court at Mbarara with a notice of his intention to appeal against Justice Vincent Kagaba's ruling that upheld the election of his rival Winnie Byanyima. In his judgement on April 10, Kagaba said Ngime was at the time of nomination not qualified to contest for a parliamentary seat.Kagaba said Ngime would did not have enough ground to petition against Byanyima who defeated him in the 2001 polls.Kagaba said Ngime did not have an equivalent to Advanced level certificate to enable him contest for parliament as the law stipulates. But Ngime insists that his academic documents are valid and he wants court to reconsider its stand and exonerate him from allegations of forgery of academic papers.Ngime’s notice of appeal was on Monday received by the assistant registrar, Godfrey Namundi.
