By Douglas Mazune FEDERATION of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) Classic League champions Sky Jammers have recruited seven new players.Big-scoring Sky Jammers captain Godwin Khisa and MVP Norman ‘Magic’ Blick will be joined by 6.3ft forward Tony Mwigyeki to consolidate an already devastating attack.“Mwigyeki is good and Norman is bringing five more stars from Nkumba university. We are likely to retain our title,” a confident Khisa told The New Vision yesterday.Jammers first signed Falcons’ guard Simon Ndaula who featured for the league champions in the Abe Linc International Tournament in December last year.Mark Kasadha, Faisal Abdallah, Ivan Mayuya and Dennis Bogere have broken away from Jinja -based Jammers and formed Nile Crocs.Khisa said that the formation of Nile Crocs will not affect their performance because the four players, who have left Jammers, were not on the starting line-up.Meanwhile, FUBA has postponed the 2002 league that was due to tip off this Sunday to next weekend.FUBA general secretary Peninah Kabenge was forced to push the league to next Sunday after only six teams returned registration forms by yesterday.YMCA Wandegeya, Jinja SS, Nsambya Sharing and Makerere University are the venue for this year’s league. ends
