A 12-year-old Miriam Kenkwanzi was yesterday thrilled as she boarded a dark blue pajero registration number UAE 346A to Mweya Safari Lodge at 7:30am.Charity Kalebbo reports that Kenkwanzi moved in the company of her parents. Kenkwanzi, a P.7 pupil at St. Kizito primary school in Bugolobi, was the winner of the face of God competition that went on in The New Vision from December 1, 2001 to January, 31 2002. Rhona Kanabahita, a New Vision sales promotion executive, handed over a full board voucher to Kenkwanzi and her parents at 7:15am at Mweya Safari Lodge offices at Kampala Casino. A full board voucher of $832 (sh1,456,000) caters for two nights, food, accommodation, transport and a game drive through the park for Kenkwanzi and her parents for the two days in Mweya.The New Vision also paid $120( sh210,000) for a launch trip so that the trio would visit Kazinga channel.Kenkwanzi was also in the company of her friend, Dorothy Kyamazima. “I will share everything on the trip with Kyamazima because she is my dear friend,” Kenkwanzi said.The competition aimed at helping children think and become creative as they drew what they imagined to be the face of God.Ends
