Villa, who like fellow giants KCC and Express have a single game to end the first round, ensured they stay clear at the top by beating SCOUL to stay eight points clear. The margin could get even bigger by the start of the second round if KCC fail to beat Express on Saturday.Express, who are in third position, also have to await the decisions of the NFLC to know the fate of their two abandoned matches against SCOUL and Mbale Heroes. They also petitioned against Arua Garage that held them to a 1-all draw for using a double licensed player.Villa lacks a consistent striker but has to thank team captain Hakim Magumba whose mature play has taken them that far.He was on hand on Saturday with excellent dribbles in midfield that resulted in Villa’s lone goal. Some fans booed the diminutive player for refusing to pass on the ball as he dribbled from the half way line. He went up to the area and laid the pass to Sunguti to stab in the winner. And it is that type of maturity that Express requires from their prize player Andrew Mukasa if he is to become a consistent net buster.Mukasa, scored the fastest goal just after 23 seconds as Express beat struggling Military N at Kakindu.
