By Florence NakaayiTHE headmaster of St. Henrys Kitovu College, Br. Francis Brain Masiko, on Thursday disowned Mukono LC5 boss Joseph Kanakulya Wasswa Banga who claims he sat his O’ Level exams at the school. This was after Kanakulya produced before court an O’level certificate purporting that he sat from the school in 1963.A loser for the seat, Francis Lukooya, through his lawyers Nuwagaba and Mwebesa Company advocates petitioned court to nullify the elections claiming that his opponent presented forged papers at his nomination, therefore he did not deserve the seat.Masiko said he had the names and results of student who sat in his school in 1963, but Kanakulya was not on record. Appearing before Justice Caroline Okello, in Kampala, Masiko said the index number which appears on Kanakulya’s certificate purportedly to be from his School, belongs to another student Jeremy Wasswa. He said the school record has a student in the names of Joseph Wasswa but not Joseph .K. Wasswa.Although six of the subjects on both certificates appeared similar, two subject on Joseph Wasswa’s school with failure 9 were missing on the boss’s certificate. The index numbers on both certificates appeared different. While testifying, Lukooya said his sole candidate presented forged papers at nomination and pleaded with court to declare him winner of the seat unopposed. Elias Lukwago, represented Banga while Wilfred Nuwagaba represented Lukooya.Ends
