By Godfrey OlukyaNairuba, a woman of Kasokoso in Iganga District, met her match when she went to confront her son-in-law after he beat her daughter. Her daughter came crying to her house and told her that her husband had come home in a drunken rage and had beaten her for no real reason.Nairuba vowed to teach her son-in-law a lesson. She went to a nearby bar and drank some crude waragi in order to gain some boldness before hiring a boda-boda to take her to his place. When she found the man drinking with friends at a home next to his own, she began to quarrel and threatened to show him her nakedness (which is a curse in Busoga culture), lifting her long skirt and exposing her thighs. The son-in-law undressed himself and threatened to rape her.Ends
