By Norman Katende and James BakamaTHE inaugural mid-season transfer ended yesterday at the National Football League Committee (NFLC) offices with only three players picking forms.SC Villa’s David Yiga and Heroes’ Kassim Nsubuga picked forms to join SCOUL’s top marksman David Kiwanuka, who picked and returned his on Friday indicating he was joining Lyantonde-URA starting the next half season.Yesterday, Nsubuga was the first to pick forms at 9:30 a.m but only returned them at 4:15p.m indicating that he was joining Simba. Defender Yiga, who picked forms at 10:15 returned them ten minutes later indicating a switch to Police FC.Returning officer Sulaiman Zziwa said that it was most unlikely that the affected clubs would be called to meet over the players since they were free to move.“The scrutinising was so tough. There is no need for the affected clubs to meet over the players,” said Zziwa.Only players who were not under contract and had spent a mandatory two years in their clubs were free to transfer in the mid season except student players.Ends
