By Jonathan Angura JINJA mayor David Wakudumira has assured residents of Walukuba Housing Estate, owned by Jinja Municipal Council, that the estate will not be sold out to investors but to sitting tenants. He dispelled rumours that his council was deviating from the decision of the previous council to sell the estate to its current tenants and instead sell it to investors who would raze down the houses and put up other developments.Wakudumira, who was addressing a congregation at All Saints Church Walukuba on Sunday, said sitting tenants would be given priority to buy the houses they were occupying when the selling exercise begins.“I want to clear rumours going on that we want to bring investors to buy the various blocks in this estate. I assure you that any matters concerning the sale of this estate will be discussed with you for an agreeable decision,” Wakudumira told the congregation. Ends
