By Geofrey NyakoojoAn accountant only identified as Jack, formerly working with a chain of supermarkets owned by an Asian businessman in Kampala could not believe his eyes when he was sacked because of a of sh1,000 difference he made on supermarket items. The Asian boss netted Jack after failing to account for purchased toilet paper stock for the super market and inflating the price. It is alleged that Jack inflated each carton by sh200 and in the end a difference of sh1,000 was realised from the deal. When the Asian director made a call at the suppliers inquiring for a price quotation of each carton, he was told a different price. When he calculated together with his accountant, sh1,000 on five cartons of toilet paper could not be accounted for. An immediate expulsion letter was written for Jack.
