Nkoyooyo calls for peace in Lango

THE Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyooyo, has urged the people of Lango to keep peace in the region to encourage development.

By James OlochTHE Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyooyo, has urged the people of Lango to keep peace in the region to encourage development.Nkoyooyo was addressing a congregation at Boroboro Cathedral on his recent tour of Lango diocese for pastoral work and mobilisation of funds to build the Church of Uganda House.Nkoyooyo said since he became archbishop, he had never received a more pleasant welcome than the one he got in Lango.He was received by the Lira district LC5 chairman, Dr. Charles Odwe Arago, the mayor of Lira, Peter Owiny, the Bishop of Lango diocese, the Rt. Rev. John Charles Odur Kami and the retired Bishop of Lango diocese, Melkisedeki Otim and Kyoga MP Be’Leo Ojok. Ends
