THE Church of Uganda Archbishop, Mpalanyi Nkoyooyo, has directed that schools built on the Church of Uganda foundation should be headed by Anglicans.

THE Church of Uganda Archbishop, Mpalanyi Nkoyooyo, has directed that schools built on the Church of Uganda foundation should be headed by Anglicans.Nicholas Kajoba reports that Nkoyooyo said this on Sunday at the Uganda Christian University, Mukono, during the inauguration of Church of Uganda heads of Education Institutions Association.The directive also includes higher institutions of learning. Nkoyooyo said schools and institutions sign-posts should have a Church of Uganda logo.“The offices of those schools should have portraits of the Archbishop and the bishops of the diocese where those schools or institutions belong,” he said.Nkoyooyo said this was meant to promote and maintain ethical standards in the Church-founded institutions. He appealed to headteachers to teach the students religion.Ends
