By Norman KatendeUGANDAN starlet Dorcus Inzikuru (picture left) will test herself against the world’s best long distance athletes in the Norwich Union Grand Prix meeting in Crystal Palace today. The 20-year-old, who has broken two 5000m national records this season, will compete in the high-profile meeting which has attracted big names like Romanian great Gabriela Szabo and Commonwealth silver medallist Edith Masai of Kenya.Although the two might be a pedestal too high for Inzikuru, she will nonetheless be presented with a chance to avenge previous defeats.Kenya’s Masai, who raced ahead of Inzikuru for a silver in Manchester, and Spain’s Marta Dominguez, who beat her by a second in Madrid last Tuesday, are all realistic targets for the rising Ugandan.Ethiopia’s Berhane Adere, who beat Inzikuru to gold at the Africa championships in Tunis , will also compete in the London meet.Inzikuru’s current national 5000m record, set in Manchester is 15:18:01.Inzikuru’s performance in Madrid, which saw her clock 8:48.81 — a new 3000m national record, propelled her to the IAAF top list where she currently has the 25th best time in the world.Start ListCollette Liss (USA), Marta Dominguez and Marina Bastos (Spain), Catherine Berry (GBR), Berhane Adere and Tirunesh Dibaba (Ethiopia), Sonia O’Sullivan (Ireland), Selina Kosgei and Edith Masai (Kenya), Liliya Volkova, Anastasiya Zubova, Tatyana Tomasheva and Lyudmila Biktasheva (Russia), Inzikuru (Uganda), and Szabo (Romania).Ends
