THE Rotary Club of Kampala East is building twenty housing units in the districts of Kyenjojo and Pallisa, the club president Dani Kireju (left) said.
He said the houses will cost them $20,000.
“Each unit is estimated at 1,000 dollars and this means 20 units at 1,000 dollars each, will cost US20,000 dollars,” Kireju told The New Vision recently.
He said the low-cost housing project is to benefit Aids victims or single families (orphaned).
Kireju said the project is to be jointly funded by Rotary International and Kampala East Rotary Club.
Meanwhile, the rotary club has planted 10,000 trees on a 25-acre piece of land in Kalandazi, Mpigi. Ends
