ENGINEERS lifted the inaugural Professionals league trophy with a 15-run victory over the Administrators in the final game at Lugogo oval on Saturday.
A solid contribution from opening batsman Steven Luswata (43) ensured the Engineers pile 132/10 in 27.2 overs. Luswata firmly resisted the front line duo , Lumumba Wapakhabulo (3/22) and George Ndiko (2/21), before he was clean bowled by the latter.
Minimal contribution came from Kibuka Musoke (10), John Lubia (05) and Francis Kazinduki (08) as Aloysius Nainhabo (00) could not be given a chance to prove his prowess. Prize giving is set for next month.
