A TOTAL of 26 civilians have been killed in Pader district by the Lord’s Resistance Army from June 20 to September 27, 2002

A TOTAL of 26 civilians have been killed in Pader district by the Lord’s Resistance Army from June 20 to September 27, 2002.
422 grass-thatched huts have been burnt and about 700 people abducted by the rebels in the same period.
The incidents have affected the areas of Atanga Internally Displaced Persons’ Camp, Patongo township, Ligi-ligi in Adilang sub-county, Lagile trading centre and Pajule sub-county
Others are Puranga trading centre in Puranga sub-county, where two enumerators were killed and 52 bicycles burnt by rebels.
Two latest attacks were on Pader district headquarters on September 14 and September 27 in which nine people were killed.
