After ejecting Sam Ssimbwa’s KCC in the second round, Heroes will be fighting to regain the Kakungulu Cup, which has eluded them since 1999, when they host Paul Hasule’s Police today.
Heroes’ coach Noah Wanyama looks at lifting the Uganda Cup as the only consolation for the club, whose poor performance in the national league saw them finish in ninth position.
“After today’s match, we (Heroes) shall remain with just two steps to lift the title and represent Uganda in the Africa Cup Winners’ Cup next year,” Wanyama said.
