MALICE could have been at the centre of the Sunday night murder in Ntinda Police barracks, the Police said on Wednesday.
Detectives recorded statements from the officer manning the armoury, and from witnesses.
By Wednesday afternoon the detectives had recorded a charge and caution statement from Geoffrey Odong, the man suspected to have shot dead three policemen and two civilians.
Statements recorded showed Odong returned from deployment on Sunday at about 6:30pm but never returned the rifle to the armoury as required, claiming that there was a long line at the armoury at the time. Ends
