KAMPALA — Parliament has instructed the company installing lifts in it’s northern and eastern wings to re-do the work, after it was found that the sand-cement ratio used was inadequate. Stone Concrete, the company installing the lifts, is doing the work estimated at sh300m. They were also asked to widen the entrances to allow in wheelchairs for people with disabilities. The anomaly was discovered when test-drilling one of the side-walling of the lifts when the wall crumbled, showing that little cement was used.
