VILLA captain Hakim Magumba is expected to fly out to Germany for a knee operation, club coach Micho Sredojevich revealed yesterday.
SC Villa is expected to meet the cost for the trip aimed at treating the nagging knee injury that has seen the volatile midfielder and playmaker miss out in the club’s most crucial matches including the Kakungulu Cup final against Express. The trip is next month.
“He is an inspiration to the club. He has done so much for Villa in the past five years and there is no way we can desert him at the time of need. He has to get treatment so that the injury is done away with,” said Sredojevich.
Club secretary Luyimbazi Mugalu confirmed the move.
Luyimbazi also revealed the club will fly out Alimansi Kadogo, when Magumba comes back.
Sredojevich also dismissed fears that Timothy Batabaire’s injury is a big blow to the champions’s defence. Ends
