The New Vision Printing and Publishing Corporation, Uganda‘s leading Print Media Group is expanding to meet the growing challenges of operating in a competitive environment.

As part of our endeavour to develop and implement a structured approach to Human Resource Management, we wish to recruit a Human Resource Manager. This position reports to the Corporation Secretary and will be part of the Senior Management Team.

Role of the Human Resource Manager:

The Human Resource Management department is required to plan for Manpower, get the best people, effectively utilize them, retain & motivate employees, assess contributions & reward good performance, plan growth, manage exits and develop healthy employee relations.

Specifically the role of the HUMAN RESOURCE Manager will be:

- To formulate and implement progressive Human Resource Policies.
- To manage effectively the various functions of HR such as Recruitment & Selection,Training
& Development, Performance Management and Counselling ,Compensation and Rewards.
- To ensure smooth operation of personnel administration matters and compliance with labour
legislation and statutory issues.
- To develop and maintain employee welfare initiatives.
- To create an environment in which employees are motivated to give off their best.
- To partner with leadership in on going change management programmes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- University degree
- Post graduate training /qualifications in Human Resource Management
- At least five years experience in the HR function in a reputable organization
- Computer literacy (Experience in handling an HRM package will be an advantage)
- Aged preferably between 30 – 35 years
- Ugandan national preferred
