THE Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) yesterday said Lira Municipality MP Cecilia Ogwal should declare her wealth to the Inspector General of Government (IGG).

But Ogwal hit back, saying the party should keep out of her personal matters.

The Leadership Code requires all leaders to declare their wealth to the IGG.

Ogwal is among the political and military leaders whom the IGG recently said had not declared their wealth.

The UPC Presidential Policy Commission boss James Rwanyarare, told reporters, “I do not condone any MP who refuses to declare their wealth. Since they did not walk out when the Bill was discussed, they are a party to the law and should declare.”
