RANJIT Kuku will get what he asked for at the Champion of champions sprint on Sunday — a beatable Charles Muhangi.
Kuku last week said the only reason Muhangi is faster than him is because of the power of the former African champion’s machines.
Muhangi has taken the man-versus-machine challenge seriously, and acquired a less powerful Mitsubishi Evo 2.
“Just wait you will see it at Lubiri,” Muhangi said when asked for details of his new car.
“I must bring down the so called big guns with a small car. I want to show the public that it is not the good machines but the man (Muhangi) himself who is the champion.”
The other Mitsubishi Evolutions expected to do battle at Lubiri on Sunday are those of Charlie Lubega (Evo 4) and Dipu Rupareila (Evo 4). The other top contender Moses Lumala is in a Toyota Celica ST 185.
“Since it is on a double track, I want to go with Charlie (Lubega) in the first run then Lumala in the second,” Muhangi said. “I want to teach those two a lesson they will never forget.”
Muhangi, said he had no time to waste on Kuku, who said Muhangi was only a rally threat because of his powerful cars.
“Kuku is a small man I cannot even waste time talking about him,” he remarked.
Horizon Rally Team sources said Muhangi imported the car last week.
The sprint that has attracted 24 drivers, is organised by Southern Motor Club.
Image Africa, Katumwa Sports Centre, WBS T.V, Radio Simba FM, Radio CBS FM and Daks Couriers are co-sponsors of the event that will also have a motor-cross championship and music show.
