THE New Vision Printing and Publishing Corporation has unveiled it’s mission statement, “to inform, educate and entertain accurately and openly for a better world.”

The mission statement was on Wednesday officially launched by the Managing Director William Pike, during a staff meeting at the corporation head office in Kampala.

Robert Kabushenga, the Corporation Secretary said yesterday, this will help New Vision workers to focus more as a team and deliver better.

“It is a milestone in the history of
The New Vision. We have posted 15 years of continuous growth and excellent performance and we believe that it is the time to focus greater on human resource, now and in the future.

“This is why we have come up with this mission statement, it will make a focus for all staff and those in partnership,” he said.

The mission statement was designed by human resource consultants in consultation with management and staff.

The staff expressed gratitude to receive the statement and promised to work hand in hand with the management to ensure its fulfilment.

The New Vision is owned by the government, but is expected to be partially privatised next year.

The corporation is based on Third Street Industrial Area, and publishes The New Vision, Sunday Vision, Bukedde, Orumiri, Etop and Rupiny.
