MASINDI — The district has recruited an extra 1,000 primary school teachers to support the Universal Primary Education programme, leaving a shortfall of 400 teachers.

MASINDI — The district has recruited an extra 1,000 primary school teachers to support the Universal Primary Education programme, leaving a shortfall of 400 teachers. Derek Nkata, the District Education Officer, said the Ministry of Education and Sports had raised the teachers’ recruitment ceiling in the district to 2,449 but few applied for posts.
