Katikkiro promises good work

THE Katikkiro of Buganda, Joseph Ssemwogerere, has said although his tenure of office has not been smooth, he is optimistic that he will sail through the hurdles with the support he gets from the Buganda monarchy.

By Vision ReporterTHE Katikkiro of Buganda, Joseph Ssemwogerere, has said although his tenure of office has not been smooth, he is optimistic that he will sail through the hurdles with the support he gets from the Buganda monarchy.He said this recently while meeting a 10-man delegation of Baana ba Buganda in South Africa.“My reign has not been smooth. We lack funds to effectively run the kingdom,” he said.Ssemwogerere said several Baganda in the diaspora were committed to developing the monarchy.“We are still demanding for a federal system of governance through which the kingdom can be developed faster,” Ssemwogerere added.
