By Daniel SaireTAKING a lesson from defender Richard Malinga, at the centre of controversy between KCC and Express, the Super Division Clubs Association (SDCA) has proposed for a one-year ban of such players.Players are not alone in the line for reprimand. Teams in the super division have vowed not to don uniforms provided by sponsors of the Nile Special Super League. The decisions were reached during a two-day meeting called to review last year’s league rules and regulations at FUFA headquarters at Nakulabye. The members, at times with charged voices asked FUFA this time to include all their proposals in the 2002 rules and regulations.“We have been giving our proposals for the last three years and most of them are always deleted from the final copy by FUFA,” complained one member.Other proposals they want not left out includes fining a team sh1m if it abandons a league match. Players, who get money from more than one club during the transfer exercise will be suspended for 365 days and the official who gives such money will pay a fine of sh1m on top of a six- months ban if FUFA approves the proposal.Disgruntled players who wish to leave one club in the middle of the season will have a leeway via an application to the NFLC outlining their discontent. A meeting to that effect shall be arranged between officials of the two clubs and a consensus reached. But players under contract have been barred from picking transfer forms during the normal transfer exerciser. Clubs interested in such players will have to approach clubs and not players. Clubs are also advocating for only having the chairman of the National Football League Committee coming from the FUFA executive. At the moment, both the chairman and his vice come from the executive. “We must have a well coordinated league without the usual squabbles we have lived with over years,” said SDCA treasurer, Issa Magoola.
