THE Director of Information and Public Relations at the Movement Secretariat, has said Hajji Nasser Sebaggala was free to return home for whatever activity he wants to do as long as it is lawful, reports Joyce Namutebi.Ofwono Opondo said whether Sebaggala had come to campaign for mayoral candidate John Ssebaana Kizito or others, was immaterial.“We don’t think Sebaggala is any political force apart from sowing hooliganism into the campaigns. He failed to be mayor because of his criminal record,” Opondo said.He added, “Ssebaana has sufficient supporters for himself with or without Sebaggala.” Ssebaana was elected mayor after Sebaggala was jailed in the US for bank fraud in 1998.The Presidential Assistant (special duties), Maj. Kakooza Mutale, said it was Sebaggala’s right to campaign.“I’m not surprised because one time he was mayor of this great city. He is doing something natural and expected,” Mutale said.Ends
