Italiano joins Team-Caltex

By Douglas MazuneCALTEX Uganda has pumped sh60m in its rally team of Moses Lumala and Giovanni ‘Italiano’ Storchi.Caltex managing director James Chillongo yesterday handed over a cheque of sh50m to Lumala and Sh10m to Storchi at the launch of the Caltex Rally Team at Ntinda.“We have now graduated from sponsoring one driver to a team,” he said proudly.“For a start, Storchi will get sh10 and the sponsorship will increase next year,” a beaming Chillongo said.Lumala said that with the increase from sh40m, he would drive faster while Storchi felt honoured to team up with Lumala. “The package is good. I will spit fire,” Lumala said. Lumala has had a fine start to 2002 with an NRC win.ends
