By Norman Katende UGANDA’s junior team will be out to improve on the bronze they have won in the past two outings at the World Cross Country Championship.The Championship gets underway this afternoon in Dublin, Ireland.The Uganda team of Boniface Toroitich, Martin Toroitich, Paul Wakou and Francis Musani will have to beat over 20 teams in a bid for honours.The quartet, was part of the six athletes selected for the championship but due to lack of funds, the duo of Moses Kipsiro and Patrick Cheboto, was left behind.The four have featured before in the World Cross Country. Paul Wakou, who will be appearing for the third consecutive time in the championship is the team leader.With vast experience in international competitions, Wakou is Uganda’s best bet for a respectable finish.Boniface Toroitich is fresh from action against Ethiopian opposition in the Jan Meda Cross Country held in Addis Ababa last month.He finished sixth overall in the competition that attracted Africa’s best.
