By Josephine Maseruka Two Movement Secretariat directors, Obiga Kania and Raphael Obudra Baku, have appealed against the Gulu High Court judgements in the election petitions they filed. The Court of Appeal has set the hearing for early April on a date yet to be communicated. Obiga Kania, the director for research, had petitioned court to nullify the election of Wadri Kassiano Ezati as the Member of Parliament for Terego in Arua district. Raphael Baku, the deputy director for research, had petitioned court to nullify the election of Agad Didi as MP for West Moyo.In two separate petitions filed Kania raised six grounds for petitioning. He claimed that Wadri was at the time of election not duly nominated as a candidate and so he was not qualified for the election as an MP.Baku claimed that Didi did not submit certified copies of documents of his academic qualifications as required by the Electoral Commission. Justice Rubby Aweri Opio said the reasons advanced by Obiga Kania could not overturn the will of the people of Terego.Ends
